Monday Mantra Practice

"Mahatma Gandhi used his mantra to remove negativity for over 60 years."

A mantra is a sacred syllable used as an object of attention that creates focus and quiets our mind. Mantra can be a prayer or blessing. The sounds of sacred mantras infuse our nervous system and Raise the State of our very own DNA.

Mantras have a potent ability to protect us from our own fear and negativity. They are useful to diffuse obsessive worry. Ultimately, they take us beyond our mind into the heart of who we are. They connect us with our essential self.

This week we offer an adjunct to our weekly intentions ~ A Monday Mantra.  By creating your own personal mantra, specifically in line with what really matters to you, you will build a powerful focus to infuse and vitalize your week.

To create your Monday Mantra, check in with your current state. Listen deeply inside. What word or phrase speaks specifically to what you want to strengthen this week? Try it out and notice if the sound of this personal mantra resonates in your heart. Does it uplift your spirit? Does it spur you on? If so, you most likely got it.

'Thank you-Thank you-Thank you' is a mantra used by one of my good friends. 'Peace-Peace-Peace' is another mantra that resonates in the heart and softens the mind.  'Perseverance- Perseverance-Perseverance' might be just what you need to take you to a finish line. 'Om Namah Shivaya' is a steady mantra I use that means, "I bow to the One consciousness that dwells within everyone." It is one of the most potent mantras, as its' syllables spark the main energy centers within us.

Whatever mantra you choose, make it perfect for you. Ground it in by writing, repeating and illuminating it in anyway you choose. Make a sign or put it on your desktop. Speak it silently upon waking in the morning, say it throughout the day and let it be the last thought of your day.

When you choose to join this practice, our cute teal quetzal bird will remind you to infuse your week with focused intention. Initiate a Monday Mantra to Raise Your State.
