Sink or Swim

"Water in the boat is the ruin of the boat, but water under the boat is its support." ~ Rumi

All of our relationships create an energy exchange. We can manage our own energy more effectively when we discern Who gives energy and Who zaps it. While some people create buoyancy, some take us right to the bottom of our tank.

Positive energy in others is rejuvenating. When we choose to relate with supportive and heart-centered people who have cultivated their happiness, we feel ourselves lifting into states of well-being. Do you remember a time when you and a great friend laughed, played and supported each other? People with buoyancy in their being offer enthusiasm and nurture the best of us.

When we tangle with people who blow their negative wind toward us on a consistent basis, it takes our own effort, our own energy, to survive the experience. Energy zappers, whether chronically negative victims of life, or even ones who kindly entice us into non-stop talking, gossip or complaining, can leave us completely drained. Zappers aren't bad people, yet they haven't generated respect for themselves or others.

It is up to us to manage our energy. In fact, if we choose to sustain states of well-being, it is Top priority.

This week use your awareness to inventory the people in your life who offer a buoyant state, one that uplifts you. And, while you are at it, check out who you see or talk to on a regular basis that zaps you. Track how you feel when you are with each of these energy fields.

Raise Your State 101 ~ "Everything is alive and connected." Our energy is a precious commodity and it is up to us to take responsibility for what we do, what we live and what we communicate. This way of Raising our State encourages us to be the best buoyant being we can be.
